Premier Achieves Another Hot Award
A Croydon development by Premier Properties has won the top environmental award at this year’s Hot Property Awards. In a
ceremony held on 7th March at London’s Waldorf Hilton Hotel, Premier Properties won a Platinum Award in the ‘Green Homes’
category for White Gables in Normanton Road, South Croydon.
Commenting after the presentation, Matt Jelley, sales and marketing manager of Premier Properties said: “We are delighted to
have won a Platinum award within a category that recognises green issues in the housing industry. Sustainability is an ever
increasing priority and at White Gables we were committed to achieving an ‘excellent’ Eco-Rating. We regularly integrate
energy-saving technologies, such as solar panels for heating water, into our developments. It is equally important to
ensure that the standards of workmanship are high and that homes are finished to a high quality standard; recognition of
this through the Hot Property Awards is very satisfying.”
The development has an Eco Homes ‘excellent’ rating as a result of a host of energy-saving features including solar heating,
75% low energy lighting, A+ rated fridges and freezers, A rated appliances retractable dryers over the baths to conserve
energy. Aerating taps are installed which can reduce water flow by 50% and all timber used is responsibly sourced. All
apartments observe below average dwelling emission rates. The development is also sited close to local amenities to
ensure that goods and services are close at hand and to minimise unnecessary journeys. For commuters there are three
railway stations in close proximity.
